LFOD: So you have recently moved to America and already played some shows there. If you compare clubs/clubbing there with clubs in Germany, where are the biggest differences?
Brian: One of the biggest differences is the mixture of electronic genres that are all played at one event. It's not out of the ordinary to play/go to a party where you will hear electro, tech house, and drum and bass all in the same night on the same dance floor.
LFOD: What are ravers in the U.S. currently listening to? Kinda the same things we listen to or something new/else?
Brian: A lot of the stuff they are listening to is the same things you guys are over in Germany. What's really cool, is how the people are so open to almost everything. I love blowing the crowds away with some of promos I get from my buddies in Europe.
LFOD: What is currently cooking up in your studio kitchen? What releases/remixes can we look forward to?
Brian: Well, there is actually quite a bit to look forward to. Just had my "Uturn" EP [Blog comment: BP Link - dope EP!] drop on Miles Dyson's label Plasma. Recently finished up a remix for aUtOdIdAkT and I am putting the final touches on one for Markus Lange. I have another electro EP as well as 2 tech house EPs ready for release. Label info coming soon. ;-) So make sure to keep checking for goodness.
LFOD: What else is planned for the future? You'll come back to germany or stay in the us?
Brian: Well, my goal is to move back to Germany in the future. It's just a question of when. But, for now, I will at least be visiting Germany soon! I will visiting all of my friends and playing a couple of gigs when I am there. Stuggi is one of my stops. ;-)
LFOD: When you get a remix request. With Which part of a track do you start?
Brian: That is a good question. There is really no exact part that I always start with. Really depends on the track. It is sometimes such a hard decision on what parts and how many parts of the original to use. For example, the aUtOdIdAkT remix I just did, I was so worried i hadn't used enough of the original. But he loved it.
LFOD: How big are the influences of blogs in the us?
Brian: They aren't quite as big of an influence here. In the bigger cities, yes. But not everywhere.
LFOD: Regarding blogs: love or hate?
Brian: Absolute LOVE! It's a great way to keep up with the music and talent from all over the world. Live Free Or Die is always one of my stops when I surf the blog world.
LFOD: Thanx mate!
