Weil das Interview hier wirklich viele Leute interessiert, die eben nicht Deutsch sprechen gehts ab jetzt auf Englisch weiter:
LIVE FREE OR DIE: First of all, let's talk about your brand new record label Mako Records. Tell the readers a little bit about it. Which artists have u signed? What kind of sound can we expect from it?
PROXY: As you might know, this label Mako Records is a very new project, just born. So we ll see how things ll go with it. For now, we have already signed Polymorphic, Marseille, the Mould , Noize Invaders and more to follow. They all have a great and particular sound= sound of the future ! This is what we want to bring on !
LIVE FREE OR DIE: Have u already got plans for the future of the label? Will u try to keep it somehow small, consisting around 10-15 artists all of the same style, somehow like Ed Banger? Or do want to keep it expanding with all sorts of music like Dim Mak? Or is there something completly different planed?
PROXY: We don’t have such big plans! We want to keep it our way: We ll release different kind of music: actually I would call it music for all souls!
LIVE FREE OR DIE: The first EP on Mako Records is by Marseille, another great producer from Russia. What can we expect from the EP? Will it be somehow an exposé of what the label sounds like?
PROXY: It s a dirty experimental techno, that I think is really missing in Russia. It brings an intressting cold atmosphere.
LIVE FREE OR DIE: Can you already give us a sneak peak on future releases on the label?
PROXY: The second release will be The Mould with 4 killers tracks ! Then we ll have the EP of Noise Invaders. We actually have good hope for that one. And then…let s just keep it secret!
LIVE FREE OR DIE: Last questions on Mako Records: Is a Mako label compilation (like Kitsune Maison/Ed Rec/DimMak Evolution) already planed?
PROXY: Not planed yet. We are now more focusing on the image of the Mako Records and on our new signed artists. But why not a compilation, maybe later?
LIVE FREE OR DIE: Tell us something about your studio. It looks like a abandonned KGB/ Sovjet bunker, is it one?!
PROXY: The place looks like a bunker: all walls are black. But in fact it s a quiet normal building, but studio is located in the lowest floor. I m very happy that we have finished all house work. Since 2 years it s all done, but it was a long 3 years process.
LIVE FREE OR DIE: Thanks for the interview!
Hope you enjoyed the interview and might keep visiting this site :))
P.S.: The rejected questions (mainly about the album) will be asked via Turbo ;)
Peace
